I hope it brings joy to the world as it did for me over 20 years ago. What better way to immortalise a franchise than to give it the HD makeover, pack it full of extras and introduce it to a whole new generation of gamers. Everyone’s favourite plumber had dominated the genre for well over a decade since he was first introduced on the NES and is still loved to this day but there are a few other characters worthy of a mention with one of them being the unforgettable feisty dragon, Spyro. The ’90s sparked a new era of gaming and changed the way we played platformers forever. But on the other hand, owning a PS1 gave me access to some of the greatest 3D platformer games of all time with Spyro the Dragon considered being one of them. I have committed blasphemy and brought shame to the Nintendo family, please forgive me. I, Brett Hill did not own a Nintendo console during the fifth and sixth generation era. I have been reviewing games for Nintendo little under a year now and feel that it’s an appropriate time to make a confession.
